I try to buy as much as I can from local bicycle shops, but the last time I was out shopping I couldn’t find a wide variety of women’s bicycle clothing or gear. And I am not talking about just a bunch of typical clothing and gear in pink or other girly colors. I mean clothes that provide options. Clothes that provide comfort while riding, but can be worn in usual daily activities. Lack of these options makes me look online to find what I am looking for. I may have been able to find these at a local shop, but I admit I didn’t go out and look. I just went from memory of the last time I was out shopping for bike shorts.
REI did their Opt-Outside Campaign on Black Friday and it obviously worked on me, as they got me to sign up as a member. Obviously, because I am a member, I stay updated on sales etc. They are currently having a pretty decent one and I have been looking for some capris that had a built in removable chamois (bicycle padding).
I found these and at $20.83 (down from $85) I couldn’t pass them up. The bonus is they fit with what I want. Comfortable for riding and don’t look like they are bicycle or workout gear. They are something I can wear out to eat or just out and about this summer while staying comfortable, no matter the number of miles I want to ride.
“From the bike to the beach, the Shebeest Boardrider bike capri pants with removable liner shorts are 2-for-1 for multisport and apres-sport use.”
Can’t wait to put together some fun outfits with these to continue my campaign to show you can still be fashionable while out riding. No matter which rider you happen to be! (Which Type of Bicycle Rider Are You?)
